The members of Berry Moorman’s Nonprofit Group began and continue their association with nonprofit organizations by volunteering their time to the organizations of their choice. The practical experiences each gathered by volunteering and the recognition of the need for lawyers sensitive to the special needs of nonprofits lead to the formation of our nonprofit practice group. Related to this fact, several of our attorneys are contributing authors to the Michigan Nonprofit Management Manual, 5th Edition. 

The purpose of our Nonprofit Group is to provide comprehensive, cost effective legal representation and counsel to our nonprofit organizations by partnering with management to meet the demands and ever increasing responsibilities that management encounters, using law as a positive tool.

The goal of our Ann Arbor, Birmingham and Detroit nonprofit lawyers is to help our clients focus on their missions by protecting them from legal complications, by helping them use the law effectively as they deliver their valuable services to their clients, and by helping them network with government, private funding sources, other nonprofit organizations, and the business community.
