BIOGRAPHY

Patrice M. Ticknor is experienced in estate planning; estate and trust administration; preparation of estate, gift, and personal income tax returns; and preparation of pre- and post-marital agreements. She has also been involved in estate and trust proceedings, as well as proceedings involving charitable organizations, before the Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, and Monroe County Probate Courts.

Ms. Ticknor’s practice includes residential real estate transactions, including drafting purchase agreements, mortgages, and affidavits relating to title issues. She also has experience forming and dissolving Michigan limited partnerships and limited liability companies, lately concentrating on family-owned recreational property. She has drafted buy-sell agreements for closely held businesses.

Prior to entering private practice, she was employed as a pre-hearing attorney with the Michigan Court of Appeals. Ms. Ticknor has been a literacy tutor at the Dominican Literacy Center on Detroit’s east side for over ten years.
