Berry Moorman PC attorney Randy Barker Presents Real Estate Continuing Education Program

Randolph T. Barker, a shareholder in the Firm’s Real Estate Practice Group, recently presented at the Detroit Association of Realtors’ annual continuing education program. Mr. Barker, who is also a licensed real estate broker and a member of DAR’s Board of Directors, provided valuable information focused on real estate practice management, changes to state and federal real estate laws, the impact of new real residential mortgage rules, and professional ethics.

In a separate session, Timothy Harden, a tax attorney in the Firm’s Birmingham office, discussed common pitfalls and best practices with business and income tax matters involving real estate brokers and salespersons.  Due to the overwhelming attendance, a second presentation of this program has been scheduled for November 2016.

Berry Moorman’s real estate practice group represents parties involved in both routine and complex real estate transactions and litigation matters, including sales, leases, financing, land development, construction liens, boundary disputes and property tax appeals.
