A team of attorneys led by Mark Straetmans were granted sanctions in defense of a municipality and police officers in a 42 U.S.C. §1983 excessive force case. Sanctions not only included a monetary award in favor of Berry Moorman P.C., but also included the obligation on the part of Plaintiff’s counsel’s law firm to pay a fine to the court and attend continuing education courses.
