Berry Moorman P.C. recently hosted a workshop in its Detroit office, “Fraud & Embezzlement in Small Business: How it happens, Why it Happens, and What you can do about it.”, presented by Michigan CFO Associates. The educational Workshop, on the topic of “Fraud and Embezzlement” was conducted by Todd Rammler and Brian Bach on Thursday October 17th, 2018.
The informative workshop shed light on the “disproportionate amount of embezzlement and fraud” experienced by small businesses compared to larger businesses.
The workshop covered topics on fraud and embezzlement, detection and prevention, the nature and types of fraud; and highlighted local and national fraud cases.
The workshop concluded with an outline of cost effective strategies and suggestions on detecting and mitigating fraud in the workplace.
