Berry Moorman Attorney Sheryl Laughren presented the topic “Marijuana in the Workplace” which impacts workforce and human resource management, to the Birmingham Rotary Club on June 17, 2019.

Sheryl Laughren’s presentation focused on how current medical marijuana regulations affect and human resource management and other related employer liability issues.  As Michigan courts further interpret the Michigan Medical Marijuana, companies are cautioned to handle these issues with care, and to work with a Labor and Employment attorney to ensure internal policies are in compliance with local and federal requirements.
