Attorneys Randolph Wright and Simon Edelstein traveled to the 2014 FIDE World Chess Tournament in Sochi, Russia to release the Tensor Chess Android Game. A longtime client of BMPC, Tensor Chess LLC is the company behind the new invention of the modified chess game that has taken the Chess world by storm. Tensor Chess incorporates, among other things, a novel new chess piece called “The Beast” that, by virtue of its interactivity with all of the other traditional chess pieces, adds not only new dimensions and possibilities to the game, but does the same for all of the other chess pieces. This makes the game more dynamic and significantly more strategic than its traditional predecessor.
Berry Moorman has assisted Tensor Chess LLC over the past four years by leveraging its network of colleagues and contacts to introduce the invention to the top Grand Masters in the world, and further assisted with having those Grandmasters endorse the invention as a noteworthy addition to the chess world. Randy, Simon and the client traveled to Moscow where a meeting with Google was set up to discuss the prospects of Tensor Chess. Tensor Chess was well received by Google Staff.
It was decided that Google would be the first platform that Tensor Chess Android Application would be launched on. BMPC further identified and brought together Patent attorneys, marketing specialists, graphic designers, and computer programmers in order to provide the client Tensor Chess LLC with a framework to develop and deploy the new game.
As a result BMPC was able to effectively and successfully assist the client in overseeing the development and deployment of the Android Application that now boasts a custom artificial intelligence engine, a multiplayer server to allow for live games over the internet.
Randolph Wright and Simon Edelstein traveled at the client’s request to the 2014 FIDE World Chess Championship, the main event being the most anticipated match between Magnus Carlsen and V. Annand, one of the most televised chess events during the past decade. They arranged for Grandmaster and former World Chess Champion Alexander Khalifman to present the game to the global chess and gaming communities.
The Tensor Chess animated presentation was played in two languages and Alexander Khlaifman outlined the game Rules, Endorsements, game movements and provided explanations of the website and server functionality, the game’s educational and intellectual benefits and finally gave a description of the social media and networking part of the project.
The entire presentation was concluded with a live demo of the Android game which was cast on a large screen TV. Following the presentation the event was followed up at a local Conference Center where invitees were given the opportunity to play the android game, play a tabletop version of the game, and speak with and offer feedback to the Tensor Chess Team. The event attendees were presented Tensor Chess themed souvenirs and were served with refreshments.
The event was not only televised on one of the leading TV channels in the Russian Federation, NTV+, but also received international media coverage as well as coverage from the top bloggers in the chess world. During the event, BMPC attorneys Randolph Wright and Simon Edelstein networked with the event organizers and participants and as a result, one of the most prominent chess figures of all time, Boris Spassky a previously uninterrupted Soviet world chess champion stretching back to 1948, not only endorsed the new game, but promoted it on national television during the event. The Tensor Chess roll-out event occurred in the heart of the Sochi Olympic Village and the presentation and reception were held at a conference hall in a Sochi hotel venue.
