Leland Prince was recently appointed by Mayor David Landry to the nine member Novi, Michigan, City Planning Commission. The appointment is for a three year term ending June 30, 2010. Mr. Prince was selected to fill the vacancy on the Commission created when his predecessor, Brian Burke, was asked to serve on the Novi City Council.
The Commission holds public meetings twice each month and is responsible for preparing the Novi Master Plan for Land Use. The Commission also makes decisions and recommendations on a number of issues. These include preliminary site plans, wetland permits, woodland permits, special land use requests, open space subdivision requests, and cluster housing requests.
